Australian Red Cross works with local Red Cross Red Crescent partners in our region and beyond to offer humanitarian aid in times of disaster and crisis, as well as support communities to build resilience their resilience to disaster risk and crises.
The role
Responsible for facilitating the development of a shared approach to program implementation in the areas of disaster risk management spanning preparedness for response, relief recovery, community level risk reduction, climate adaptation and resilience programming. Advise and support stakeholders in the designing, resourcing, monitoring and evaluation of disaster risk management initiatives. Establish links with other thematic areas inclusive of Health, Organisational Development and Protection Gender and Inclusion.
About you
You have a high level of technical and operational skills and experience in reducing disaster risks, building resilience and preparing for response, including aspects of climate change, urban and resilience programming. Your application will demonstrate your ability to successfully facilitate outcomes related to humanitarian response and disaster risk reduction and strengthening of complex relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
