Norlha is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious, NGO based in Lausanne, Switzerland, that supports remote and poor communities in the Himalayas. It works to improve lives in terms of food and economic security, environmental stewardship and gender equality. Currently Norlha runs projects in Nepal, Bhutan and China. PARTNERSHIP FINANCE OFFICER
Part-time volunteer position
This position offers an excellent opportunity to strengthen experience in finance, fundraising proposals and development assistance in collaboration with experts in a dynamic and well-organised NGO.
Mission and activities
Responsibility for maintaining and further developing Partnerships financial record keeping;
Responsible for expanding reporting systems;
Responsibility for all financial aspects of proposals and partnership reports;
Work collaboratively with operations and finance department;
Establish new reporting procedures within the department and the organisation as a whole;
Candidate profile
Hold a genuine interest in the Himalayan people and Norlha’s values;
Experience or a qualification in accounting or finance.
Excellent working knowledge of spreadsheets and Excel in particular;
Good speaking and writing skills in English and also in French;
Highly committed, independent and dependable, good interpersonal skills;
Norlha offers

High degree of autonomy, responsibility, and ample room for initiative.
Duration: Minimum of 6 months, preferably over 12 months
Time: 50% or more
Place: Lausanne, partial home-based work possible with regular presence in the office
This part-time, long-term volunteer position is not paid. Applicants must have the right for long term volunteering in Switzerland
